Responsibilities
- Accurately receive, process, and dispense prescription medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and prescription orders for accuracy and completeness.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving stock, checking expiration dates, and organizing the pharmacy storage areas.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions, offering medication counseling, and processing payments efficiently.
- Prepare sterile intravenous (IV) medications and perform compounding duties as required by state regulations.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to streamline workflows and ensure a safe, organized work environment.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered PTCB or ExCPT certification required.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in medication handling.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs regularly.
- Basic computer proficiency with experience in pharmacy management software (e.g., Cerner, McKesson) is a plus.
