Responsibilities
- Receive, prepare, and package prescriptions accurately according to state and federal laws.
- Verify patient information, dosage, and instructions to prevent medication errors.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Assist the pharmacist in reviewing medication orders and answering patient inquiries.
- Process insurance claims and manage patient payment transactions.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary pharmacy environment.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and visitors.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the healthcare team.
- Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with pharmacy software systems.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift moderate amounts of weight.
