Responsibilities
- Accurately receive and verify prescription orders, checking for drug interactions and allergies.
- Prepare and package medications, ensuring proper labeling and storage.
- Manage inventory levels, restock pharmaceutical supplies, and conduct monthly inventory audits.
- Process insurance claims and verify patient coverage to minimize delays in dispensing.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering patient inquiries regarding prescriptions and medications.
- Assist pharmacists with sterile compounding and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Pharmacy Technician license in the State of California.
- PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Previous experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software systems (e.g., Cerner, McKesson).
