Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies.
- Verify patient information and prescription details to ensure accuracy and safety.
- Operate pharmacy dispensing software and equipment to process orders efficiently.
- Assist customers with prescription questions and medication adherence counseling.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work environment compliant with OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
- Handle cash transactions and process insurance claims accurately.
Qualifications
- Current, active Pharmacy Technician certification (CPhT) from PTCB or ExCPT is required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid Nebraska Pharmacy Technician license.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in medication dispensing.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients and colleagues.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with pharmacy management systems.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift boxes up to 25 lbs.
