Responsibilities
- Prepare and fill prescriptions accurately and efficiently under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and prescription orders to ensure compliance with legal and safety standards.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions regarding medications and general pharmacy operations.
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including checking stock levels, ordering supplies, and organizing storage areas.
- Process payments and handle cash transactions with 100% accuracy.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
Qualifications
- Current and active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT) is required.
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology, drug interactions, and dosage forms.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while multitasking.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management software (e.g., Rx30, Cerner, Epic).
