Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense medications and verify prescriptions for completeness and accuracy
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and stocking pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient medication records in compliance with HIPAA
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient education on medication usage
- Collaborate with pharmacists to resolve medication-related inquiries and ensure workflow efficiency
- Maintain clean, organized, and compliant pharmacy workspace
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification in New York State (NYSED)
- Minimum 1 year of hospital or retail pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell) and Microsoft Office
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical accuracy
- Excellent communication skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Valid CPR certification or willingness to obtain
