Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control, including ordering, receiving, and tracking pharmaceutical supplies
- Process insurance claims and maintain precise patient records using pharmacy software
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling to patients
- Ensure strict compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to optimize medication therapy
- Maintain sterile compounding areas and equipment per USP standards
Qualifications
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license (PTCB or ExCPT certified)
- Minimum 1 year retail or hospital pharmacy experience
- Proficiency in pharmacy management systems (e.g., QS1, Rx30)
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities
- Basic math skills for prescription calculations
