Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescriptions accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist.
- Verify prescriptions against physician orders to ensure safety and legality.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering pharmaceutical supplies and restocking shelves.
- Assist customers with medication inquiries and provide excellent customer service.
- Operate pharmacy dispensing equipment and computer systems (e.g., Rx30, Cerner).
- Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, including HIPAA and DEA guidelines.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to resolve medication-related issues.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered Pharmacy Technician license issued by the Texas State Board of Pharmacy.
- PTCB or ExCPT certification preferred.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a high-pressure environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
