Responsibilities
- Prescription Processing: Accurately receive, verify, and prepare prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, order pharmaceutical supplies, and manage inventory to ensure products are always available.
- Customer Service: Provide exceptional service to patients by answering questions regarding medications and assisting with the pharmacy drive-thru.
- Medication Preparation: Perform basic compounding tasks and accurately dispense medications to customers.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to all state and federal laws, HIPAA regulations, and pharmacy safety protocols at all times.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate patient records and documentation for all transactions.
Qualifications
- Certification: Must hold or be willing to obtain a current Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT).
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Attention to Detail: Strong ability to focus on details to ensure patient safety and medication accuracy.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 25 lbs, and work in a fast-paced environment.
