Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications accurately according to state and federal laws.
- Assist patients with prescription inquiries and provide exceptional customer service.
- Manage inventory levels, including ordering, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies.
- Operate pharmacy dispensing software and automated machinery efficiently.
- Verify prescriptions for dosage, drug interactions, and allergies under the supervision of a Pharmacist.
- Process insurance claims and handle copay transactions accurately.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure timely and efficient workflow.
Qualifications
- Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB or ExCPT) required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Valid driver’s license (optional, for delivery duties if applicable).
