Responsibilities
- Prepare and package prescription medications for patients under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify prescription orders for accuracy, completeness, and appropriateness prior to dispensing.
- Manage pharmacy inventory levels, including ordering, stocking, and performing monthly stock counts.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering phone inquiries, processing insurance claims, and handling co-payments.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and organized pharmacy environment compliant with all state and federal regulations.
- Collaborate with the pharmacy team to ensure efficient workflow during peak hours.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligible to obtain certification in the state of Nebraska.
- Current, unencumbered pharmacy technician license required.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy software systems.
