Key Responsibilities
- Verify prescriptions and prepare medications accurately according to established protocols.
- Assist pharmacists in processing incoming orders and maintaining accurate patient records.
- Manage inventory levels, including stocking, reordering, and monitoring expiration dates.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers in a fast-paced environment.
- Ensure strict compliance with all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA.
- Participate in quality assurance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Current Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or active registration as a Pharmacy Technician in Florida.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in a hospital or retail pharmacy setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in medication dispensing.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
