Responsibilities
- Accurately dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication ordering systems
- Process insurance claims and verify patient coverage
- Provide exceptional customer service and medication counseling
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy regulations
- Utilize pharmacy software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell) for dispensing
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals for patient care coordination
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB or ExCPT)
- Nevada State Pharmacy Technician license
- 1+ years retail/hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication handling
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Basic computer proficiency with pharmacy systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
