Responsibilities
- Verify the accuracy of prescriptions and ensure proper dosage and labeling.
- Prepare and package medications under the direct supervision of a licensed Pharmacist.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering questions regarding medications and insurance coverage.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Maintain strict compliance with HIPAA regulations and state pharmacy laws.
- Process payments and handle insurance claims accurately and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Current certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) by the PTCB or ExCPT.
- Active California Pharmacy Technician license.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
