Responsibilities
- Accurately verify and process prescription orders for patients to ensure correctness of medication, dosage, and patient information.
- Prepare and package prescription medications according to legal, ethical, and safety standards.
- Manage pharmacy inventory levels, including ordering supplies and monitoring expiration dates.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding their prescriptions, insurance coverage, and medication instructions.
- Assist the supervising pharmacist in compounding and preparing sterile products when necessary.
- Ensure the pharmacy environment is clean, organized, and fully compliant with all health and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) with current PTCB or ExCPT certification.
- Active, unlicensed Pharmacy Technician license in the state of Tennessee.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong mathematical skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
