Responsibilities
- Accurately process and fill prescription orders under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and third-party billing requirements.
- Prepare and package medications, ensuring proper labeling and safety protocols.
- Manage inventory levels, including receiving, stocking, and organizing pharmaceutical supplies.
- Communicate effectively with patients regarding prescriptions, insurance questions, and general pharmacy inquiries.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe pharmacy environment compliant with state and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (PTCB or ExCPT) preferred but willing to train candidates with relevant experience.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency with pharmacy management software and computer systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs.
