Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense prescription medications accurately following strict safety and legal protocols.
- Verify patient information and prescription details to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Manage pharmacy inventory levels, assist with purchasing, and organize stock to prevent shortages.
- Communicate with patients regarding prescriptions, insurance coverage, and medication questions.
- Process insurance claims and handle payment transactions efficiently and accurately.
- Assist the lead pharmacist with compounding and special medication orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with health and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) or eligibility to obtain certification (ExCPT/PTCB).
- Current and active Arizona Pharmacy Technician License required.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for patient interaction.
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Basic computer proficiency and experience with pharmacy management software.
