Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage prescription processing and insurance verification
- Maintain sterile compounding environments and equipment
- Provide exceptional patient education and medication counseling
- Execute inventory control and regulatory compliance protocols
- Operate pharmacy information systems (e.g., QS/1, Omnicell)
- Collaborate with healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Strong attention to detail and mathematical aptitude
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25 lbs
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to learn pharmacy systems
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Must be able to attend all training sessions (8 AM - 4 PM, Mon-Fri)
- Commitment to obtaining PTCB certification within 6 months
