Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications under pharmacist supervision
- Manage pharmacy inventory, including ordering, receiving, and stock rotation
- Process insurance claims and maintain patient medication records
- Provide exceptional customer service and patient education
- Operate automated dispensing systems and pharmacy software
- Ensure compliance with DEA, HIPAA, and state pharmacy regulations
- Collaborate with healthcare providers for seamless patient care
- Maintain sterile compounding environments when required
Qualifications
- Active Pharmacy Technician certification (PTCB/ExCPT)
- 1+ years retail/hospital pharmacy experience preferred
- Proficiency in pharmacy management software (e.g., QS1, Omnicell)
- Strong knowledge of drug interactions and pharmaceutical math
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift 25+ lbs
- Arizona Pharmacy Technician license in good standing
- Basic computer literacy and data entry skills
