Responsibilities
- Dispense Medications: Accurately prepare and package prescription medications according to physician orders.
- Verify Prescriptions: Review prescriptions for accuracy, completeness, and safety before dispensing.
- Customer Service: Assist customers with medication inquiries, insurance questions, and provide a friendly, professional experience.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage pharmacy inventory, and assist with ordering pharmaceutical supplies.
- Claims Processing: Verify insurance coverage and process claims efficiently using pharmacy software.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and state pharmacy laws.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current and valid California Pharmacy Technician License (CPhT) required.
- Experience: 1+ years of experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
- Attention to Detail: Strong mathematical skills and the ability to calculate dosages accurately.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer Literacy: Proficiency with pharmacy management systems and basic computer operations.
