Responsibilities
- Process and Verify Prescriptions: Accurately input patient data and verify prescriptions under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, manage incoming shipments, and ensure proper storage of medications.
- Customer Service: Interact with patients to answer questions regarding medications, insurance, and store policies.
- Insurance Verification: Assist patients in navigating insurance claims and processing copayments.
- Assist Pharmacists: Prepare medications for dispensing and perform routine quality control checks.
- Regulatory Compliance: Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA regulations and state pharmacy board guidelines.
Qualifications
- Certification: Current Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) preferred; state licensure required.
- Education: High school diploma or GED required.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to maintain accuracy in data entry and medication preparation.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Reliability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adhere to shift schedules.
