Responsibilities
- Accurately process and verify prescription orders under pharmacist supervision
- Manage inventory control and medication dispensing systems
- Provide exceptional customer service while maintaining patient confidentiality
- Utilize pharmacy software for documentation and billing tasks
- Assist with sterile compounding and medication preparation
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care
- Adhere to all regulatory compliance standards (DEA, FDA, HIPAA)
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Passion for healthcare and willingness to learn new skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Basic computer proficiency with willingness to master pharmacy systems
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Valid Texas Pharmacy Technician Trainee permit (provided if needed)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Background check and drug screen required
