Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and patient comfort
- Process and transport specimens while maintaining chain-of-custody protocols
- Verify patient identification and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in EHR systems
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and infection control procedures
- Collaborate with laboratory and clinical staff for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Current NJ Phlebotomy Technician certification required
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- Excellent venipuncture skills with pediatric and geriatric populations
- Proficiency in specimen processing and handling protocols
- Strong interpersonal skills with ability to reduce patient anxiety
- Basic computer literacy and EHR documentation experience
