Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws across diverse patient populations
- Process and label specimens with strict adherence to HIPAA and OSHA guidelines
- Operate laboratory equipment including centrifuges and analyzers
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in EHR systems
- Ensure sterile techniques and infection control standards
- Provide patient education during specimen collection procedures
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in phlebotomy
- Valid CPR certification
- Proficiency in blood collection techniques and specimen handling
- Strong communication skills with diverse patient groups
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced clinical environments
- Knowledge of CLIA and CAP regulations
