Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and patient comfort
- Process and transport specimens to laboratories while maintaining chain-of-custody protocols
- Verify patient identification and prepare samples for analysis
- Maintain accurate documentation in electronic health records systems
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, CLIA, and HIPAA regulations
- Provide patient education on pre-test preparation procedures
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NCCT, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical phlebotomy experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Proficiency in specimen processing and handling protocols
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced healthcare environments
