Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections following strict protocols
- Process and label specimens with 100% accuracy
- Maintain sterile equipment and infection control standards
- Provide patient education and comfort during procedures
- Document patient data and specimen tracking in EMR systems
- Collaborate with lab teams for efficient workflow
- Adhere to OSHA and HIPAA compliance requirements
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- 1+ years clinical experience preferred
- Strong venipuncture skills with minimal callbacks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask in fast-paced environments
- Basic computer proficiency with EMR systems
- CPR/BLS certification required
- Valid Texas driver's license for mobile collections
