Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws with precision and minimal patient discomfort.
- Prepare and process blood specimens accurately for laboratory analysis.
- Interact professionally with patients of all demographics, explaining procedures to ensure a positive experience.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control protocols and safety guidelines (OSHA, CLIA).
- Manage patient records and maintain accurate documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Collaborate with laboratory technicians and nurses to ensure timely specimen processing.
Qualifications
- Current, active Phlebotomy Certification (e.g., ASPT, NHA, NCPT).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional phlebotomy experience preferred.
- CPR and BLS certification required.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
