Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collection using provided equipment
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Operate and calibrate provided diagnostic equipment
- Ensure sterile technique and infection control standards
- Collaborate with lab staff and healthcare providers
- Train on new equipment technologies as implemented
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Proficiency with venipuncture and capillary collection techniques
- Knowledge of OSHA and CLIA regulations
- Excellent patient communication and empathy skills
- Ability to work efficiently with provided equipment
- Basic computer skills for documentation systems
- Nebraska state license (if required)
