Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws with precision and minimal patient discomfort.
- Prepare and label blood samples accurately for laboratory analysis.
- Greet patients, verify identification, and explain procedures to ensure a positive patient experience.
- Maintain strict adherence to HIPAA compliance and safety protocols at all times.
- Manage patient records and update electronic health records (EHR) efficiently.
- Assist with inventory management of phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT) from a recognized body.
- Active Florida State license or permit (if required by specific facility).
- Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in a clinical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
