Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws with precision and minimal patient discomfort.
- Label, process, and accurately log blood specimens according to laboratory protocols.
- Greet patients, explain procedures, and ensure a positive and comfortable experience.
- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety standards (OSHA compliance).
- Manage inventory of supplies and ensure phlebotomy equipment is sterilized and functional.
- Collaborate with nurses and lab technicians to ensure timely test results.
Qualifications
- Current Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification required.
- Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in a clinical or outpatient setting preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle difficult patient interactions professionally.
- Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation (if required for site visits).
