Responsibilities
- Perform accurate venipuncture and capillary blood collections following OSHA and CLIA standards
- Process and label specimens with meticulous attention to detail
- Maintain sterile equipment and organized workstations
- Provide exceptional patient care with empathy and cultural sensitivity
- Operate automated analyzers and assist with laboratory testing
- Document procedures accurately in electronic health records
- Collaborate with nursing staff and physicians for seamless patient care
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP or equivalent)
- Nevada Phlebotomy Technician license required
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience in a fast-paced setting
- Strong knowledge of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality
- Excellent venipuncture skills with minimal discomfort to patients
- Ability to multitask in high-pressure situations
- Basic computer proficiency with EMR systems
- Valid CPR certification
