Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections accurately
- Process and label specimens following HIPAA protocols
- Maintain sterile equipment and clean workstations
- Verify patient identity and prepare samples for testing
- Document collection procedures in electronic health records
- Assist with patient education and comfort during procedures
- Collaborate with lab staff and healthcare providers
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, NHA, or equivalent)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Valid CPR certification
- Strong knowledge of OSHA and CLIA regulations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environments
- Attention to detail and precision in specimen handling
- High school diploma or equivalent required
