Responsibilities
- Collect blood samples using venipuncture and capillary techniques
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA regulations
- Perform basic lab tests and quality control procedures
- Maintain accurate patient records in EHR systems
- Ensure sterile equipment and infection control compliance
- Provide patient education during blood draw procedures
- Collaborate with clinical staff on specimen transport protocols
Qualifications
- Current California Phlebotomy Technician certification (CPT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- BLS/CPR certification required
- Experience with EHR systems (Epic preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Detail-oriented with specimen handling expertise
- Background check and health clearance mandatory
