Responsibilities
- Perform routine venipunctures and capillary blood draws on patients of all ages with minimal supervision.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during the collection process while adhering to strict hygiene and safety protocols.
- Label, process, and transport blood specimens accurately to the laboratory for analysis.
- Maintain a clean and organized phlebotomy station, including proper sterilization of equipment.
- Verify patient information and accurately complete all required paperwork and electronic health records (EHR).
- Assist with inventory management of supplies and ensure stock levels are maintained.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification required.
- Current State of Nevada Phlebotomy Technician license (if applicable).
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with patients and medical staff.
- Basic computer literacy and experience with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
