Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws on patients of all ages.
- Verify patient information and ensure all necessary paperwork is accurate.
- Maintain strict adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols.
- Label, process, and transport blood specimens to the laboratory efficiently.
- Perform point-of-care testing (e.g., glucose, hemoglobin) as required.
- Manage patient queues and provide excellent customer service during draws.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification required.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 1 year of clinical phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume medical setting.
