Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections following strict safety protocols
- Label, process, and transport specimens to laboratory with precision
- Verify patient identity and maintain accurate medical records
- Provide exceptional patient care during blood draw procedures
- Calibrate and maintain phlebotomy equipment
- Adhere to HIPAA and OSHA compliance standards
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient experience
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- No phlebotomy experience required - we provide full training!
- Current CPR certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs
- Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Valid Texas driver's license (for specimen transport)
- Must be available for flexible shifts including weekends
