Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws on adult and pediatric patients.
- Verify patient identity and accurately label and process blood specimens for laboratory analysis.
- Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and infection control standards (OSHA compliance).
- Communicate effectively with patients to ensure comfort, cooperation, and accurate data collection.
- Manage specimen inventory and ensure medical supplies are adequately stocked.
- Collaborate with nurses and laboratory technicians to ensure timely test results.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- Completion of a Phlebotomy program or equivalent clinical experience is preferred, but we provide training for qualified candidates.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on patient care.
- Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive motions.
- Basic computer proficiency and attention to detail.
- Willingness to obtain a valid CPR/First Aid certification.
