Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary draws with precision and patient comfort in mind.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records and specimen tracking in EMR systems.
- Communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and laboratory staff.
- Travel to various clinic locations within Chula Vista for mobile phlebotomy services.
- Assist with inventory management of phlebotomy supplies and equipment.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) certification required.
- Current and valid California State Phlebotomy License.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical phlebotomy experience preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a high-performing team.
- Basic computer literacy and EMR experience.
