Responsibilities
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring patient safety and compliance.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition immediately to the healthcare team.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare staff to develop comprehensive care strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, charts, and documentation.
- Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and preventative care.
- Adapt to varying shift schedules and healthcare environments to ensure 24/7 facility coverage.
Qualifications
- Current, unencumbered RN license in the state of Texas (or compact state eligibility).
- Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care nursing experience.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient advocacy.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
- Flexibility to travel and adapt to new locations and team dynamics.
- Commitment to maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
