Responsibilities
- Perform venipunctures and capillary blood draws efficiently and with minimal patient discomfort.
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols, OSHA standards, and safety regulations.
- Label and process blood samples accurately and timely for laboratory analysis.
- Greet patients warmly, explain procedures clearly, and provide superior customer service.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in strict compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with the inventory management and sterilization of phlebotomy equipment.
Qualifications
- Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) or equivalent certification (ASCPT, NAACLS) required.
- Current Minnesota State Phlebotomy License.
- Previous experience in a clinical, hospital, or outpatient setting preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
