Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision and patient comfort
- Process and prepare specimens for laboratory analysis
- Maintain accurate patient records and sample documentation
- Adhere to OSHA safety protocols and infection control standards
- Operate laboratory equipment (centrifuges, analyzers)
- Collaborate with healthcare team for efficient patient flow
- Assist in specimen collection for specialized tests
- Provide patient education on collection procedures
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, AMT, or NCCT)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Valid Texas CNA or EMT license preferred
- Excellent venipuncture skills with minimal complications
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently in fast-paced environment
- Basic computer skills for lab systems
- Successful background check and drug screen
