Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws with precision
- Process and label specimens according to HIPAA protocols
- Maintain accurate patient records in electronic health systems
- Ensure proper specimen handling and transport to lab
- Provide patient education during blood collection procedures
- Adhere to OSHA safety and infection control standards
- Collaborate with nursing staff and laboratory personnel
Qualifications
- Current Phlebotomy Technician certification (ASCP, AMT, or NHA)
- Minimum 1 year clinical experience
- Valid Arizona phlebotomy license
- BLS/CPR certification
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric patients
- Proficient in LIS/EHR systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts including weekends
