Responsibilities
- Personal Care Assistance: Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting with dignity and respect.
- Companionship: Engage clients in meaningful conversations, hobbies, and activities to reduce isolation and improve mental well-being.
- Meal Preparation: Prepare nutritious, appetizing meals according to dietary restrictions and personal preferences.
- Medication Reminders: Promptly remind clients to take their medications at scheduled times.
- Light Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized living environment for the client.
- Transportation: Drive clients to medical appointments, grocery stores, and social outings.
- Health Monitoring: Observe client behavior and report any changes in physical or mental condition to the care coordinator.
Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
- Licensure: Valid Arizona Driver’s License and reliable personal transportation.
- Certifications: Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Attributes: Compassionate, patient, and reliable work ethic.
- Background: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Availability: Ability to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays.
