Responsibilities
- Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Help clients with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene in a dignified and respectful manner.
- Monitor Health: Observe and report changes in the client's physical condition, mood, or behavior to our nursing staff.
- Medication Management: Assist with medication reminders and ensure timely administration as directed by a licensed nurse.
- Companionship: Provide emotional support and engage clients in meaningful conversations, hobbies, and light exercises to improve their quality of life.
- Household Support: Light housekeeping, meal preparation, and laundry assistance to ensure a safe and clean living environment.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely records of care provided and client interactions.
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; CNA or HHA certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of experience in home care or a related healthcare field.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and perform physical tasks associated with patient care.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
