Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care in acute care settings with precision and compassion
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders with meticulous documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patient vitals and respond swiftly to changes in condition
- Educate patients and families on health maintenance and discharge protocols
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and uphold stringent infection control standards
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer reviews
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Virginia (or compact state eligibility)
- BSN degree preferred; ADN candidates with 2+ years experience considered
- BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred)
- Minimum 2 years clinical experience in acute care or specialty unit
- Strong critical thinking and emergency response capabilities
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Electronic health record (EHR) proficiency
