Responsibilities
- Assess patient health needs, develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with healthcare team members.
- Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient vital signs and symptoms to identify changes in condition, reporting any deviations immediately.
- Provide emotional support and health education to patients and their families regarding diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to ensure comprehensive and holistic patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and care provided.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to hospital policies and safety standards.
Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of New Mexico.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) preferred.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Computer proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems.
