Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient needs.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians in accordance with nursing standards and protocols.
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes in condition or potential complications immediately.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records and documentation.
- Educate patients and their families on health conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety regulations, including infection control measures.
Qualifications
- Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas.
- BSN preferred; Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with relevant experience.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience in a hospital setting (Med-Surg, Telemetry, or ICU preferred).
- CPR (BLS) and ACLS certification required (or willing to obtain).
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
