Responsibilities
- Assess & Plan: Conduct thorough patient assessments to develop individualized care plans based on physician orders and clinical standards.
- Medication Management: Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Patient Advocacy: Serve as an advocate for patients, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met during their hospital stay.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including patient histories, treatments, and progress notes.
- Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, therapists, and social workers to ensure holistic patient care.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical situations with composure and efficiency.
Qualifications
- Licensure: Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina (or ability to obtain).
- Certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution.
- Experience: Minimum of 1-2 years of clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Skills: Strong critical thinking, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Physical Demands: Ability to stand for long periods, lift patients, and perform physical tasks as needed.
