Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including physical exams and history reviews, to establish a baseline for care.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans based on patient needs and physician orders.
- Administer medications and treatments with strict adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards.
- Monitor patient responses to interventions and adjust care plans in real-time to ensure optimal outcomes.
- Provide clear, empathetic education to patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and self-care.
- Document all clinical interactions, assessments, and interventions accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and social workers to ensure a holistic approach to patient recovery.
- Respond immediately to emergency situations, including code blue activations and critical care needs.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Illinois.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
- Minimum of 2 years of acute care nursing experience preferred.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a high-volume healthcare setting.
