Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized nursing care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in strict adherence to hospital protocols and physician orders.
- Monitor patient health status and promptly report any changes or concerns to the clinical team.
- Collaborate effectively with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic care.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and post-discharge care instructions.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and care activities.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and infection control policies to ensure a safe environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications
- Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license issued by the Texas Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical nursing experience preferred (Med-Surg, Telemetry, or ICU experience is a plus).
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is required.
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare setting.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
